Cat Comfort Zone
This appears to be the default setting for the cats at my mom's house. According to the cat books I've read, this pose shows that they are secure and content with their habitat...thus, they are happy. Not to mention this pose shows off how plump they've gotten from living in a house designed and built around cats ^_^ My mom takes the time to cuddle each of them personally, and at night, it's a full house in her bedroom because three cats (Niña, Gypsy, Meow, and Annabelle) crowd into her bed, along with Catdog, er, Bambino, the mega-pinscher.
I only pray that my mom never discovers this item. It's a toilet seat for cats. Imagine getting in line to use the bathroom because Kitty got there ahead of you? What if the cat gets territorial? Hee hee.

You ever notice how we keep rubbing cat hair all over your clothes? Beats dog urine anytime.

He does! Also, all our cats now have "sporrans"--little pouches that pooch and sway when they walk. It's usually pinkish and bald, and I have trouble resisting the urge to poke it playfully. They don't like it much, except for one cat, Doc Ling. Then again, he likes smelly feet, so hey...

Funny you should say that. I'd argue cat urine beats cat hair! ;p (On a side note, they don't have to rub much against us because we have a compulsion to pick up and hug any and all cats who wander into hugging range. Heh heh ^_^)
When I spent the weekend at my mom's house, I found out that he expresses affection in a most unusual manner...when he peed on my stuff twice. I am a masochist, because when I scolded him, and he started to purr, I melted and forgave him. Cats!!!
Hi Charlene! Our cat Abbas is almost *always* in that position -- Arn and I thought it was due to the summer heat, feeling namin that position keeps him cool (labo ba?).
