Up With Love 3
Racking our brains for the perfect gift, Polar Bearball and I went through with what seemed a silly idea at the time: industrial fans. When we went to buy the presents, though, the ones I wanted were out of stock. We decided on two regular fans instead-our rationale being, no matter how well-heeled Danz and Rachelle were, at some point they'd start using fans. So, along with Eric and Aya, we picked up two fans, and as usual, I got the wrapping chores (Odd aside: for such a klutz, I appear to be very good at wrapping presents. Go figure.) Then Polar Bearball came up with the clincher: since they billed themselves as a cool couple, what better way for them to stay that way? (And if you didn't find this funny, gawd help you if you ever have to hang around us as we descend to these profoundly silly depths on a regular basis)
I note with childish delight at this point that our presents were the biggest of the bunch, and among the prettiest. ^_^ It was too dark to take photos, so I have to content myself with the memory of the looks on the faces of the other guests when Polar Bearball and I arrived with one huge package-covering the upper halves of our bodies-each!
But that's getting ahead of my story.
